After the Supreme Court revoked the Committee of Administrators’ authority, FIFA slapped a suspension on the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The Women’s U-17 World Cup, which is set to take place in India from October 11 to 30, has been given the all-clear thanks to the decision.

The All India Football Federation was suspended by FIFA, the organisation that oversees world football, on August 15 due to improper third-party meddling.

FIFA informed the AIFF in writing that the FIFA Council’s Bureau has resolved to immediately lift the suspension of the AIFF. The decision to lift the suspension was made by the Bureau of the FIFA Council after FIFA received confirmation that the committee of administrators’ mandate, which had been put in place to take over the AIFF Executive Committee’s authority, had been terminated and that the AIFF administration had reclaimed full control of the organization’s day-to-day operations.

FIFA also stated that it would keep an eye on the situation and assist the AIFF in holding its elections on schedule.

According to Anurag Thakur, minister of youth affairs and sports, India will host the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2022 as scheduled. Mr. Thakur tweeted his joy at the All India Football Federation’s suspension being removed by the FIFA Council Bureau.

It’s a win for all football enthusiasts, he declared. This year’s game is set to run from October 11 to October 30.
