The SSLV, the ISRO’s smallest commercial rocket, was launched today from Sriharikota. Due to its quick turnaround time, it is a low-cost vehicle that can transport satellites weighing up to 500 kg. In addition to an Earth observation satellite, AzadiSAT was constructed by 750 Indian schoolgirls to commemorate the country’s 75th Independence Day.
