HYDERABAD: The festival of Rakshabandhan, which honours the unique tie between a sister and brother on August 11 each year, went bad for a rakhi dealer. Rakhis that he had stored for sale in his business that was put up on the sidewalk in Big Bazar, Abids, were stolen.
The event happened late on Monday night. For the upcoming festival, the shop’s owner had only recently set it up in the ideal location. He had no idea that during the busiest time, his store would be burglarized and he would lose money. He reported the incident to the police. He said he had lost Rs 20,000 in his complaint.
