Two terrible films, Lie and Padi Padi Leche Manasu, were produced by the tasteful director Hanu Raghavapudi. Both of these movies were financial disasters, and their respective producers suffered significant losses. However, Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt had faith in his magic and vision. Sita Ramam, which is capturing the hearts of the Telugu public, was lavishly funded by them. The movie faced tough competition from a movie called Bimbisara. On Friday, the public preferred to see Bimbisara, while Sita Ramam began on a mediocre to ordinary note.
This is due to the lack of stars in the movie. Although Dulquer Salman is a seasoned actor, Telugu regions do not have a large fan base for him. There is hardly much awareness of Mrunal Thakur among Tollywood viewers. Beyond the acting and the poetic narration, Sita Ramam’s production values are what elevated the movie to a new level. The production company gave the script ample time to develop and supported Hanu’s idea.
Even for minor roles, they hired the best performers and craftsmen. The isolated locations of Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh serve as the backdrop for a sizable section of the movie. The project was months behind schedule because the budget occasionally went overboard due to the pandemic. However, the Sita Ramam team awaited their day.
Youth and families are currently swarming to the theatres to see this classic. Following a respectable weekend, the movie is having a phenomenal run during the week everywhere. The fact that Tuesday’s numbers were higher than Monday’s suggests that Sita Ramam will be a tremendous commercial success.
After a very successful weekend, Kalyanram’s Bimbisara is also playing to full houses. Sita Ramam and Bimbisara both restored the splendour of Telugu cinema.
