On board an Indigo Airlines flight from Delhi to Hyderabad, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan performed her medical duties and saved the life of an IPS officer with the rank of Additional Director General of Police.
A 1994-batch officer named Kripanand Tripathi Ujela is currently receiving treatment in a hospital in Hyderabad for dengue infection.
“My life was spared by Madam Governor. She assisted me as a mother would. I would not have been able to reach the hospital without it “Ujela said PTI over the phone on Saturday from Hyderabad.
Ujela, an Andhra Pradesh cadre member, is currently employed as an Additional DGP (Road Safety).
The IPS officer complained of discomfort on the journey to the capital of Telangana around Friday midnight, and the governor, a doctor by trade, attended to him.
“When Madam Governor took my pulse at that moment, it was only 39. She instructed me to lean forward and calm down, which helped to stabilise my breathing “explained Ujela.
He proceeded straight to a hospital after arrival in Hyderabad, where a number of tests were performed on him.
When dengue was discovered, his platelet count fell to 14,000 as a result.
“I would not have been able to make it if Madam Governor had not been on that flight. She gave me a fresh start “Ujela stated, thanking Soundararajan for his help.
